MAUI, HI --- The Xavier Musketeers, 2-3, look to snap a three-game losing streak when they take on Illinois, 1-3, in Maui Jim Maui Invitational action on Wednesday at the Lahaina Civic Center in Maui.
Illinois leads the series with Xavier 2-1, although XU won the last meeting 65-59 at U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati in the 2006-07 season (12-29-06).
Despite its loss to now-No. 25 Wisconsin on Nov. 13, Xavier has won 10 of its last 13 games against seven different teams from the Big Ten Conference since the 2007-08 season, including 4-1 in NCAA Tournament action.
