The University of Wyoming soccer team was unable to protect a halftime lead and suffered a 3-1 Mountain West loss at San Jose State on Friday.
The Cowgirls (7-7-1, 3-4-1 MW) struck first when Shaina Ashouri scored off an assist from Annika Clayton in the 32nd minute. But the Spartans (7-4-4, 4-2-1) netted three goals in the second half while keeping UW scoreless.
