The University of Wyoming women's golf team carded its lowest round of the week Wednesday to finish seventh at the Mountain West Championship in Rancho Mirage, California.
The Cowgirls shot a 27-over 315 to finish with a three-day total of 925 (+61). UNLV won the tournament with a 4-over 868 followed by San Diego State with a 7-over 871.
Freshman Erin Sargent was the top finisher for the Cowgirls with an 11-over 227 that put her in a tie for 21st place. San Diego State's Fernanda Escauriza earned individual honors with a 6-under 210.
Rounding out the scoring for UW were Mackenzie Barrie with a 231, Megan Knadler with a 232, Gabrielle Gibson with a 238 and Sarah Hankins with a 243.
