The University of Wyoming Board of Trustees approved Wednesday the exterior design of the Mick and Susie McMurry High Altitude Performance Center.
The building, which will be a major addition to the Rochelle Athletics Center, will provide expanded academic and sports medicine centers, a new football weight room, new football meeting rooms and a training table, among other things.
The project is expected to cost $44 million, with $24 million coming from private donations and $20 million in state-matching funds. Construction is expected to begin later this year, according to a press release.
Also Wednesday, the board of trustees selected a firm from New Jersey to install video boards, scoreboards and audio systems at War Memorial Stadium and the UniWyo Sports Complex.
