Mullin finishes sixth in consolation final at NCAA meet

University of Wyoming freshman diver Scotia Mullin finished sixth in the consolation final with a score of 323.30, a mark slightly worse than that of what he earned in the prelims, at the NCAA Diving Championships on Saturday in Indianapolis.

Mullin was one of only three freshmen who placed in either the championship final or consolation final. David Dinsmore of Miami won the gold medal while fellow freshman Brandon Loschiavo of Purdue took fourth.

With his finish, Mullin earned the Cowboys three points in the team standings, good enough for 38th.
