Interview with Pavel

Favorite Sport To Watch:

Hockey - Love the fast pace and continuous play. Hockey is great because of the toughness players show, and they're willing to put their bodies in front of a 100-mile-an-hour slapshot. Guys lose teeth, catch a high stick to the mouth or face and still don't miss a shift.

Favorite Players:

Wayne Gretzky - He's the great one, end of story. Talk to me when an NHL player even comes close to getting 200 points in a single season. Alex Ovechkin - This guy is fire on ice. He's a rock star and shows it with every body slam into the boards after scoring a goal. Chris Carpenter - He's a warrior and will give you 110% every time he takes the mound. See 2011 MLB Playoffs for an example. Donald Driver - One of the nicest athletes in any professional sport. Something the multi-million dollar contracts sometimes take away.

Favorite Sports Moments:

Chris Carpenter throwing a complete-game three-hit shutout against the Phillies to send the Cardinals to the 2011 NLCS and eventually the World Series Championship. Rams Mike Jones wrapping up the Titans Kevin Dyson on the 1-yard-line to win Super Bowl 34. Durrell Summers dunking in the face of UCONN's Stanley Robinson in the 2009 Final Four in Detroit.

Favorite Sports Quote:

"Winning isn't everything, it's the ONLY thing." - Vince Lombardi

Should College Athletes Be Paid?

I believe they are due some sort of payments because their schools are making millions of dollars on them. Yes a free education is a consolation, but that's not worth tens of millions per season.

Best Quarterback in the NFL?

Aaron Rodgers. Sorry Brees and Brady, but "A-Rod" is locked in and having one of the most historic seasons in NFL history. Brees can have the passing records, but Rodgers is truly what makes the Packers offense go, and he does it with such a calm demeanor. Who knew such a superstar was waiting in the wings behind Favre for several years.
