Interview with Eric

Athletic Experience:

I am completely qualified to write about college athletes because I ran cross country my senior year of high school. I also played soccer my junior and senior year in high school as well. Yeah, you should be writing about me. Not vice-versa. I played baseball through 6th grade and then I got that "baby fat." Still working on the baby fat. Averaged 0.4 INTs in two seasons of intramural football at MTSU. I also scored 13 points playing intramural basketball. I don't remember what that averages per game, but I was a mix of Dell Curry and Larry Bird from behind in the arc on two or three of the shots I launched from downtown.

Favorite Sport To Watch and Do You Get Sunburn at Football Games

That's too easy. College football is the greatest sport in the history of sport simply because the game itself is the 12th most fun activity for some on game day. Yet, the game itself is still better than the NFL's game. There's nothing better than taking home a sunburn on the west side of your face from sitting in the North Endzone of Bryant-Denny Stadium during a September CBS 2:30 P.M. game. The loudest cheer from me comes when the sun sets behind the West upper deck. As my photo so obviously points out - I'm pale. Shade and touchdowns at Bryant-Denny Stadium - THIS. IS. ALABAMA FOOTBALL!

Only Awesome Awesome Folk Play Frisbee (disc) Golf. Do you?

Indeed. What also qualifies me to write about and judge well-tuned, first class athletes is my ability to play frisbee golf. I didn't mention that I played ultimate frisbee in college because I didn't want many of you to feel inferior and I didn't want to issue a spoiler alert. So here you go. I like the frisbee golf. I also run, but I'm not sure it's a sport. It's physical activity and I wish I hadn't done it once I'm finished, so yeah. I also run.

Favorite Athlete

Dale Murphy. There is only one #3. Dale Earnhardt and Babe Ruth? Pssssssshh, please.

Favorite Sports Moment

Van Tiffin. 1985 Iron Bowl. The Kick. 1(a) would be Franciso Cabrera's base hit to bring in Sid Bream in Game 7 of the 1992 NLCS. Good times.

Do you call high school football games on the radio?

Why, yes I do. I am the play-by-play voice of the Greenbrier Bobcats in Greenbrier, Tennessee. I hate to be a humblebrag, but it's tape-delayed and not played until the next morning on the radio.

Do I write a recap of the Greenbrier football game for the local paper as well and how do I find the time?

Yep. I sure do and it's all in a day's work! Pssssshhh, please.
