Interview with Ben

Athletic Experience:

I have played baseball for 15 years, outfield for 12, third base for 3. I have played recreational, select, travel and now I play college club baseball for Towson University. I play golf recreationally and I tried playing basketball one season with my friends, let's just say it did not end up well.

Best and Worst Moment Playing Sports:

Best: Stepping onto the field for the first time to play college baseball. Worst: Getting cut from my high school's baseball team. Twice.

Favorite Sport To Watch:

I can watch baseball any time of day, any day of the week. However during the off-season, I enjoy watching hockey, soccer and lacrosse. I also watch Minor League baseball whenever I get the chance. It means so much more to me to see a young player try his hardest and sprint to first base on a ground ball that he is sure he will be out on, as opposed to a major league veteran who jogs to first because he does not want to get injured.

Favorite Athlete:

Chipper Jones. Been my hero since I was old enough to enjoy baseball.

Favorite Sports Quote:

"People ask me what I do in the winter when theres no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I sit by the window and wait for spring." - Rogers Hornsby
