Wisconsin women’s basketball: UW ends game on brutal scoring drought, loses to NJIT

The Wisconsin Badgers women’s basketball team (1-1 overall, 0-0 Big Ten) dropped their first game of the year, falling 61-49 to NJIT (1-2 overall, 0-0 America East) at home on Sunday afternoon. Freshman Krystyna Ellew, who led the Badgers with 29 points in their season opener, was held scoreless in 29 minutes.

This was a back and forth game that clearly took a toll on the Badgers, as NJIT outscored UW 18-8 in the fourth quarter.
