Wisconsin Badgers sixth-year offensive lineman Michael Furtney thanked the football fans and coaches during his time in Madison in an Instagram post on Sunday afternoon while announcing his intentions to pursue a career in the National Football League.
“Thank you to the fans, friends, and coaches for your unwavering support over the past 6 years,” Furtney wrote. “My time as a Badger has brought me some of my greatest friends and lifelong memories. Thank you all for being a part of my journey and I appreciate all of your continued support as I pursue my lifelong dream of playing in the NFL.
