The move was announced Monday that the Wisconsin basketball team had hired former Badgers player Joe Krabbenhoft to be an assistant coach in Greg Gard’s staff, replacing Gary Close, who retired after 13 years a Wisconsin basketball assistant.
The hire brings back a Badgers favorite from years passed, a hard-working, scrappy player who was a key glue guy on Badgers teams during his time at Wisconsin from 2005-2009.
Following the hire, Twitter reacted to the news that Wisconsin was bringing back one of its own.
Krabbenhoft himself, of course, had the opportunity to weigh in on his new position:
