Ann Arbor, Mich. — The wave of momentum crashed quickly.

Whatever boost the Badgers had after beating Purdue, a team that received votes in the national polls, disappeared in the second half against Michigan on Thursday night. UW mustered just 28 points in the last two quarters en route to a 82-65 loss to the Wolverines.

The Badgers (7-16, 3-10) held a 37-36 lead over the Wolverines (14-10, 6-7) at the break. They proceeded to shoot a frigid 39% in the second half and were outscored, 46-28.

"We missed some defensive assignments," Wisconsin coach Bobbie Kelsey said.
