Report card: Wisconsin vs. Northwestern

Madison — Jeff Potrykus reviews Wisconsin's 13-7 loss to Northwestern Saturday at Camp Randall Stadium.

OFFENSE (D)

Substandard line play has been the unit's Achilles' heel for most of the season and two plays illustrate the issues.

UW trailed, 7-0, in the second quarter and faced second and 9 from its 49. Quarterback Joel Stave dropped back to pass and was sacked for an 11-yard loss despite the fact the Wildcats rushed only four.

Dean Lowry destroyed right guard Walker Williams off the snap. He shoved Williams back more than 7 yards into Stave's face.
