It was a rare long night for Ann-Renée Desbiensand the Wisconsin women's hockey team.

The junior goaltender, who leads the NCAA with 16 shutouts this season, had a nightmarish experience against third-ranked Minnesota.

Amanda Kessel, a Madison native, had two goals to lead the Golden Gophers to a 4-0 victory over the second-ranked Badgers in a Border Battle Game on Friday night at Ridder Arena in Minneapolis.

Minnesota (28-3-1, 23-3-1-0 WCHA) snapped Wisconsin's 12-game winning streak rather convincingly.

The Badgers fell to 30-2-1 and 24-2-1-1 in the WCHA.
