Former Wisconsin football quarterback Deacon Hill announced that he’s moving on from the Hawkeyes and re-entering the NCAA transfer portal.
“Iowa, you have given me one of the best years of my life,” Hill wrote. “I have built some of the most important relationships in my life, and I am eternally grateful for that. … After some conversations and deep talks, my family and I feel this is what’s best for my future.”

During the 2023 season, Hill started nine games at quarterback for the Iowa Hawkeyes under head coach Kirk Ferentz, guiding the team to a 6-3 record.
