Florida State QB Maguire leaves Peach Bowl with injured leg

ATLANTA (AP) — Florida State quarterback Sean Maguire has been carted off the field with a left leg injury late in the first quarter of Thursday's Peach Bowl.

The injury left the Seminoles with J.J. Cosentino, who had been third-string most of the season, at quarterback. The Seminoles were without quarterback Everett Golson, who is away from the team for personal reasons.

Maguire was hurt when hit by Houston linebacker Matthew Adams after throwing an incomplete pass from the Cougars 8. Maguire couldn't put pressure on his left leg as he was supported by trainers before leaving the field on a cart.
