Deiter and Biegel both learned the value of adding good weight — and power.
Deiter, listed at 6-foot-5, arrived at UW weighing 300 pounds. He is up to 316 now.
"I'm more powerful," said Deiter, who enrolled at UW in January 2014. "I'm able to move heavier people."
Biegel carried 273 pounds on his 6-4 frame when he arrived in 2013.
"When you're on the line and you get your first two steps down and you hit somebody, you can tell," said Biegel, who is being pushed by Benzschawel for the starting spot. "Now that I weigh a lot more, I can move guys more.
