ABOUT THE OILERS

-- C Connor McDavid (foot) didn’t finish the game after blocking a shot in 4-1 win over Montreal Saturday. X-rays came back negative and McDavid is expected to play tonight in Winnipeg. The victory brought the 17-17-2 Oilers back to .500 for the first time since Game 2 of the regular season. McDavid leads the club with 43 points in 36 games, including 14 goals.

-- G Cam Talbot made 29 saves against the Canadiens and has now won seven straight, a career best winning streak.

-- D Andrej Sekera (knee) played his first two games since May 5 prior to the Christmas break and was a welcome addition to the Oilers back end, going pointless while averaging 18:06 of ice time.
