ST. PAUL, Minn. - Steve Mason has returned to Winnipeg for medical follow-up after continuing to feel unwell on the road trip with the Jets.

The veteran goalie was scratched Friday against the Chicago Blackhawks and was replaced on the bench by AHL call-up Michael Hutchinson, while Connor Hellebuyck got the start.

The scenario plays out again tonight with Hellebuyck guarding the cage as the Jets look to rebound from a 2-1 defeat to the Blackhawks when they face the Central Division-rival Wild at Xcel Energy Center.
