The Winnipeg Jets rallied down 4-1 in the third period to defeat the Toronto Maple Leafs 5-4 in overtime at the MTS Centre Wednesday night.
Patrik Laine, the No.2 overall pick in June’s draft, completed the hat-trick, scoring at the 2:40 mark of OT to clinch the win for the Jets.
Tyler Myers and Mark Scheifele also scored for the Jets, while Toronto received goals from Connor Carrick, William Nylander and two from Nazem Kadri.
