WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita State women's tennis head coach Colin Foster announced the signing of Kazakhstan native, Sati Aubakirova to the team's 2024 signing class on Monday afternoon.
Coach Foster is excited to add Aubakirova to next year's team.
"We had an instant connection with Sati when we started recruiting her," said Foster. "She clearly has a passion and enthusiasm for the game and will add to our positive team culture."
Aubakirova has a career high ITF Junior ranking of #583 and is currently ranked #637. She has won a plethora of junior singles and doubles titles, including the ITF Junior 30K event in Astana, Kazakhstan in November of 2023, defeating all five of her opponents in straight sets to win the title.
