The Missouri Valley Conference decided not to schedule the opening week of games on a back to back basis, allowing WSU a two day span before playing Evansville at home. After spending a day off and a light practice on Sunday, the Shockers took care of business against Evansville 3-0 at Charles Koch Arena on Monday night.
“On Friday, we had a really good team match,” senior middle blocker Katy Dudzinski said. “We really bonded together really tightly and fought hard to win that won. Every game is really important to us and that’s our mindset going into it.
