Shockers Fall to Belmont in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Wichita State dropped its second road game of the season, falling 67-75 to Belmont Wednesday evening at the Curb Event Center.

Three Shockers finished in double figures with leading the way with 16 points and 2 steals, as had 13 points and 2 steals, and put up 11 points and 8 rebounds.

Belmont's Tess Miller and Jailyn Banks put up 17 points apiece to lead the Bruins to their second-straight win.

After a back-and-forth start to the game, Belmont (2-1) went on an 8-0 run to go up 16-9 before Abies helped bring the Shockers (1-2) back within four.
