DALLAS – SMU outscored Wichita State by 11 in the second half to take down Wichita State, 69-51, Wednesday night in Moody Coliseum.
Wichita State (15-12, 5-9) shot below 40 percent from the field, including 3-of-11 from beyond the arc and was outrebounded by 15. Wichita State's minus-15 on the glass was a season worst.
Jane Asinde and Curtessia Dean scored a team-high tying 11 points each, followed by Trajata Colbert and DJ McCarty with 10 apiece.
SMU finished the game shooting 47.6 percent from the field, despite missing 17-of-20 from beyond the arc.
