WICHITA, Kan. – The Wichita State University baseball program is scheduled to host its annual First Pitch Banquet on Friday, Feb. 1, in the Aetna Multi-Purpose Center at Charles Koch Arena.
The dinner will begin at 6 p.m. and will feature former Wichita State head coach Gene Stephenson as the guest speaker.
Stephenson, who is a member of both the College Baseball Hall of Fame and Pizza Hut Shocker Sports Hall of Fame, coached the Shockers from 1978-2013 and helped lead Wichita State to seven College World Series appearances, including winning the 1989 College World Series title.
