Vallabhaneni sits 10th after a 73 (+1). The sophomore had two birdies on the day, along with 13 pars and now sits four shots off the lead. Samdal is tied for 18th after shooting an opening-round of 75 (+3). Samdal had one birdie, 11 pars and eagled the par-five 14th hole.
Sophomore Jenna Hayes is just one shot back of Samdal after shooting a 76 (+4).
