University of Buffalo football writer offers thoughts on WMU matchup

KALAMAZOO, MI – Western Michigan’s Mid-American Conference season couldn’t have started any better, as the Broncos trounced Ball State 55-3 in Week 5.

A similar result against Buffalo is unlikely, but the Bulls share a commonality with the Cardinals – the likely absence of their starting quarterbacks.

As of Monday, Tyree Jackson, a sophomore signal caller and cousin of WMU linebacker Asantay Brown, was deemed doubtful for Saturday’s game by Buffalo coach Lance Leipold, but the Bulls have other weapons on offense and a junior quarterback to lead the huddle.

Robby Johnson, a writer for the University of Buffalo athletics website Bull Run, was kind enough to provide an opponent perspective heading into Saturday.
