Holland, Red Wings eye successful off-season

“Every off season, you’re trying to make your team better. I was certainly disappointed we missed [the playoffs], but we know we have to get better,” Red Wings General Manager Ken Holland said. “Every off season you try to improve as much as you can; part of getting better in the salary cap world is watching the young players. They’ve got to push their way onto our team, and the young players have to get better.”

The Wings only have six free agents, all of whom play in the minors for the Grand Rapids Griffins, so the resigning process won’t be too difficult.
