LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. – The Western Michigan golf wrapped up the 2019 Mid-American Match Play Challenge at Lakewood Ranch Golf & Country Club on Tuesday, finishing in sixth place after going 2-2 during the two days.
After defeating Morehead State and falling to Northern Illinois on Monday, the Broncos advanced to the fifth-place match after beating Central Michigan, 3-2-0. Cameryn Lucia (6&4), Fiona Wang (3&2) and Jasmine Chee (4&2) were winners for WMU in the morning match.
Western Michigan then took on Eastern Michigan, falling 3-1-1, with senior Claire Hernandez picking up the lone win for the Broncos.
