KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The New Jersey Devils announced today that the team has signed forward to a two-year, entry-level contract starting in 2024-25. Wendt will join New Jersey's AHL affiliate in Utica on an AHL Amateur Tryout for the remainder of the 2023-24 season. The announcement was made by President/General Manager Tom Fitzgerald and Senior Vice President/Assistant General Manager/Utica General Manager Dan MacKinnon.
Wendt ends his Bronco career having played in 111 total games, producing 69 points on 33 goals and 36 assists. In his three years in Kalamazoo, he was able to block 29 shots while adding 10 power-play goals and six game-winning goals.
