CLEVELAND -- Western Michigan junior has been named the Mid-American Conference Men's Tennis Singles Player of the Week.
Arzhankin went 2-0 at No. 1 singles to help the Broncos open MAC play with wins over UIC and Northern Illinois. Against UIC he took down Randy Wilson 6-3, 6-2. In Sunday's win over the Huskies, he dispatched Cheng En Tsai 6-4, 6-0. Arzhankin has now won each of his last eight singles matches, going 5-0 at No. 1 and 3-0 at No. 2.
This is Arzhankin's second MAC Singles Player of the Week award this season.
