LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. — The WKU women’s golf team’s best score of the season lifted the Lady Toppers into a tie for first place Monday following the second round of FIU’s Pat Bradley Invitational.
The Lady Toppers carded a 3-over 291 on the second day at the par-72, 6,288-yard Lakewood Ranch Golf & Country Club. They’re tied with host FIU for the lead with matching two-round totals of 583.
WKU’s 291 is its best single-round score since shooting a collective 290 in the opening event of the 2015-16 campaign. The program already has more rounds of 294 or better this season (4) than it did all last year (3).
