Rick Stansbury has made recruiting splashes since taking the Western Kentucky coaching job this spring. He gave some insights into his recruiting pitch Wednesday afternoon.
Stansbury was speaking at Bowling Green Country Club at the weekly meeting of the Bowling Green Rotary Club. He was asked during a question-and-answer portion of his talk what he sells recruits on when trying to convince them to come play for the Hilltoppers.
Stansbury mentioned WKU’s tradition, highlighting the fact only Kentucky and Kansas have more than the Toppers’ 42 regular-season conference titles. He also mentioned that he’s going to “sell relationships” and “sell accountability.
