The Hilltoppers in recent years have become known for strong quarterback play, aggressive play calling and plenty of points and yards. That includes leading the FBS last season in both points per game (45.5) and yards per play (7.65).
Starting in 2018, coach Mike Sanford’s WKU squad will have three chances to put its high-flying reputation up against an annually strong Louisville program.
Sanford and other WKU athletics figures were in suburban Louisville on Monday, speaking at Hunting Creek Country Club in Prospect. The first-year Hilltopper coach was asked during a media session about his program’s upcoming series with the Cardinals.
