Lady Tops stay unbeaten on home court

Western Kentucky's women's tennis team kept its unbeaten string on its home court intact Friday, beating Evansville 6-1 at the WKU Tennis Complex.

The Lady Toppers have not lost on their home courts since beginning play there in 2014. Playing at home for the first time this season, Western Kentucky (10-4) pushed its all-time record at the WKU Tennis Complex to 6-0.

WKU's doubles team of Elpida Malamou and Monica Malinen won 6-0 over Evansville’s Theodora Soldatou and Chieko Yamada. At the No. 2 spot, freshmen Cindy Oest and Natalia De Ugarte won their fourth consecutive match as a duo, 6-1, to claim the doubles point.
