Baseball. Red Team Takes Game 1 of Fall World Series, 10-7

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — In WKU Baseball’s opening game of the Fall World Series on Thursday night, a pair of Paul’s led the Red Team to a 10-7 victory and a 1-0 lead in the series.

On the hill, junior Paul Kirkpatrick was credited with the win, pitching 3.1 innings, giving up two hits and one earned run, with one strikeout. At the plate, senior Paul Murray went 1-for-3 with three RBI. Playing right field and batting leadoff, Murray laced a two-run double into the right-field corner in the third inning, which plated the eighth and ninth (eventual game-winning) runs for the Red Team.
