Wide Receiver Ja’Shaun Poke Enters Transfer Portal

West Virginia Mountaineers wide receiver Ja’Shaun Poke has entered the transfer portal after transfer to the Mountainers from Kent State. Poke transferred from the Golden Flashes last season and caught two passes this season, both against Duquesne for 11 yards.

Poke was expected to have a big impact on special teams as a returner and add depth at receiver, but dealt with an injury and appeared in just two games for the Mountaineers this fall. Poke transferred in from Kent State last offseason where he returned 14 kicks for 411 yards, averaging nearly 30 yards per return while also hauling in 31 receptions for 362 yards and a touchdown.
