The Mountaineers (6-9, 0-4 Big 12) put themselves in a familiar situation this week, as the team dropped back-to-back doubles matches on court two and court one, respectively, to surrender the doubles point to the Jayhawks (13-5, 3-2 Big 12).
Sophomore Lyn Yuen Choo and freshman Paula Goetz dropped a 6-3 decision on court two to KU’s Anastasiya Rychagova and Smith Hinton. On court one, sophomore Habiba Shaker and Kaja Mrgole suffered a 6-2 setback to KU’s No. 67 Janet Koch and Nina Khmelnitchkaia to give the Jayhawks a one-point match advantage.
