MORGANTOWN, W.Va - Four members of the West Virginia University women’s tennis team were named ITA Scholar-Athletes and the Mountaineers were named to the ITA All-Academic team as announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).
Senior Kaja Mrgole (exercise physiology), junior Habiba Shaker (sport and exercise psychology), and sophomores Paula Goetz (industrial engineering) and Abigail Rosiello (pre-medicine) were all recognized by the ITA for their outstanding work in the classroom.
The 2016 season marked the third consecutive year the Mountaineers earned academic team honors.
“Academics are a big part of what we do as a program” Coach Miha Lisac said of the announcement.
