After nearly 88 minutes of scoreless play, sophomore forward Hannah Abraham put the ball past UC goalkeeper Madison Less, connecting on a service from sophomore forward Sh’Nia Gordon near the far post. Sophomore defender Easther Mayi Kith jump started the play, finding junior midfielder Carla Portillo near the mid-field line, who turned and found Gordon out wide. She played the ball into Abraham, and the Fairchance, Pennsylvania, native outran her defender for a composed, one-time finish.
The Bearcats answered just 45 seconds later. Following the kickoff, UC worked the ball into the final third and drew a foul.
