Comeback Attempt Falls Short for WVU Basketball

The Mountaineers made a late comeback push but fell short as the Longhorns completed the season sweep of WVU by a score of 85-78. West Virginia 20-6 (9-4) played without Daxter Miles, and most of the game without Jaysean Paige who is one of the best coming off the bench.

Tarik Phillips fell one point shy of his career high scoring 19 points, while Devin Williams completed his 12th double-double of the season scoring 16 points and landing 12 rebounds. The Mountaineers once again were unable to create turnovers against the Longhorns, Texas turned the ball over seven times, one less than last game.
