3-star WVU cornerback target plans Sunday night announcement

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — West Virginia remains among the five finalists for three-star cornerback Therran Coleman of Pittsburgh.

The 6-foot-1, 181-pounder from Brashear High said he plans to announce his commitment Sunday night on local television. From double-digit offers, Coleman is also considering his hometown school Pitt—thought to be the frontrunner—along with Wisconsin, Arizona State and Virginia Tech.

West Virginia has one cornerback pledged for 2016, three-star Jake Long of Columbus, Ohio. Along with Coleman, the Mountaineers are among the finalists for two other Ohio cornerbacks: Tony Butler of Lakewood and Sean Mahone of West Chester.
