West Ham have been warned they could face playing behind closed doors if there is a repeat of the crowd trouble that married their 3-0 home loss to Burnley at the weekend.
The London Stadium Safety Advisory Group (SAG) met on Thursday following shameful scenes on Saturday, when a number of fans invaded the pitch during the match and the clubs owners David Gold and David Sullivan were told to leave their seats for their own safety as fans congregated in front of the directors' box.
The SAG said there would be an increase in the number of stewards and a greater police presence at the next home match, but warned that while it had stopped short of imposing cuts to capacity on this occasion, it would continue to monitor the situation.
