West Ham chairman David Gold hits back after fans criticise lack of teenagers breaking through

As yet none of West Ham United's prodigious young talents have been used in the first-team much to the frustration of Irons fans proud of the club's academy roots.

The Hammers are famed for having orchestrated the successful careers of the likes of Rio Ferdinand, Frank Lampard and Joe Cole but Slaven Bilic has elected to plump for more experienced line-ups, despite a below par campaign.

But West Ham chairman David Gold has hit back on Twitter after supporters vocalised their criticism of the lack of teenagers breaking through.
