Hoffenheim sign Havard Nordtveit from West Ham on five-year deal

Havard Nordtveit has signed for Hoffenheim from West Ham after just one season at the Premier League club.

Nordtveit, 26, joined West Ham from Borussia Monchengladbach last summer but made just 11 league starts under Slaven Bilic.

The Norway international has now departed for Bundesliga side Hoffenheim, where he has signed a contract until 2022.

"I obviously know the Bundesliga very well from my years at Gladbach and I'm convinced I will be able to make the impact that TSG are hoping for," Nordtveit told Hoffenheim's official website. "Hoffenheim's playing style and [director of football] Alex [Rosen] and [coach] Julian's [Nagelsmann] extensive efforts to bring me to the club were decisive factors in reaching a decision.
