West Ham United travel to Anfield to play Liverpool on Saturday with last week's thrashing at the hands of Arsenal still stinging.
Losing at home to local rivals is always difficult to take, but it was the manner of the defeat that so exasperated a deflated London Stadium. Against Arsene Wenger's side, the Hammers looked devoid of ideas and, more importantly, fight. The lack of application was depressing enough, but Slaven Bilic's admission after the game that his team "don't always train well' was a surprising thing to hear from a manager.
Inevitably, the question poses itself, if the team aren't training properly then why isn't the manager doing something about it?
