Former West Ham forward Mauro Zarate eager to prove himself at Fiorentina despite difficult start

The striker left the Hammers for the Italian side back in January for a fee of around £1.6m.

But since the move he has struggled to settle and he has played just 98 minutes of competitive football this season.

It has sparked rumours Zarate could be on the move again, but his agent - Fabio Firmani - insists that is not the case.

"Zarate is absolutely not thinking about the transfer market," Firmani told FirenzeViola.

"He feels great in Florence and he's very grateful to the city from a human point of view for the affection he received in a difficult time.
