There will be a new Smith in Washington this fall. Jason Smith and his wife Kristy of four years welcomed 21 inch Carter Jack Smith to the world Tuesday afternoon.
Smith had a productive first year in Washington, playing both positions up front, while vastly improving on his three-point shooting, nailing 47% of his attempts. With backup center Ian Mahinmi out for much of the season, Smith got a lot more playing time at center than he expected after signing with the Wizards on a three-year deal in the summer of 2016.
