The story behind the assault case involving WSU Cougars safety Shalom Luani — who allegedly broke a man’s nose outside a Domino’s Pizza branch in Pullman on Wednesday — continues to evolve.
After he was arrested and charged with second degree felony assault on Wednesday, Luani took to his Facebook page and wrote a post apologizing to friends and family for disappointing them, but also hinting that he had a different side to the story.
Then, when pressed for details on the case after Thursday night’s football practice, WSU football coach Mike Leach told reporters, “The initial fact-finding sounds like he was jumped by three people, but we’ll wait till it unfolds.
