PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State suffered its first home loss of the 2017 season, falling 3-1 to Cal State Northridge at Bailey-Brayton Field Sunday afternoon.

The Cougars (13-8) had won their previous nine home games, matching the 1988 WSU team's 9-1 start to its home schedule. That team featured WSU Hall of Famer, MLB star and 1988 NCAA Player of the Year John Olerud and went on to win its next 13 home games to finish the year with 22-1 home record.

WSU received an RBI-double from redshirt-junior centerfielder and saw junior first baseman extend his on-base streak to 18 straight games with his eighth-inning single.
